# Job Description – ICU Registered Staff Nurse
Position: ICU Registered Staff Nurse
Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Qualification: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing
Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in ICU or critical care preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
* Monitor vital signs, patient conditions, and changes in health status.
* Operate and monitor ICU equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
* Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
* Assist doctors during emergency procedures and critical care interventions.
* Maintain accurate patient records, nursing notes, and treatment documentation.
* Follow infection control protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital policies.
* Coordinate with doctors and the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
* Communicate with patients’ families regarding nursing care and patient updates as per hospital policy.
* Ensure proper handover of patient information during shift changes.
